Something that many people don't realize is that when you have asthma you may be at more risk for osteoporsis.

 

It's not the asthma that causes this, but the medications that people with asthma use that can create this problem. 

 

So your need for calcium increases...

I take my calcium supplements daily! - now I'm really glad that I have been doing this.

 

Have you increased your calcium intake?

 

Please Check with Your Doctor about this before starting!!

Its vital to also take magnesium with your calcium (ratio 3-1) or the calcium
could actually age you prematurely. I hope you are taking it together!

I do take magnesium along with vit. D as well, to help with the absorption of the calcium. Actually, we could start a whole thread on this as well, right?! :) Since we should talk about the forms of calcium...I take calcium citrate as it's more easily absorbed by the body, though for different diseases other forms of calcium are used.
