about three weeks ago I came down with a respiratory virus. I was very sick for a week with intense coughing, shortness of breath, weakness etc. This episode triggered my asthma which I've had since age 4. I'm doing my typical asthma meds now, Dulera, prednisone, nebulizer treatments. I have a continual pain in my left chest in the rib area. I'm assuming it's a pulled muscle or a rib injury from weeks of coughing, and shortness of breath.

Has anyone else experienced this type of pain? I've had it for a week now and it's getting quite annoying. Any recommendations on what to do for it?

If you pulled a muscle or a rib, the only thing you can do is wait for it to subside. You can try taking OTC pain relievers to help but if it gets worse or doesn't go away, you should see your doctor.
