I have had severe breathing problems correlated with reflux (GERD) for a while now.
My PFTs are showing solid PEF numbers, but lung volumes are significantly reduced (70% of predicted)

I am looking for recommendations for best doctors/institutes in New York City as I am not happy with the current state of my diagnosis nor treatment.

I prefer comprehensive specialist centers/institutes in lungs and airways though I will be happy to see any doctor you think is worth the time.

You can go to www.ratemds.com. This is a peer rated site to find doctors in your area. Good luck!

I had severe gerd, and well I took a dare from a friend (with doctor supervision) and tried 2 oz Aloe vera juice daily. I noticed in a month it significantly reduced, and I'm warning you... it tastes wretched. I do it for the added benefit of one less med

I see Dr. Smith at the Wellness center in NY Downtown Hospital. I am extremely satisfied with his services. You can also try Allergy and Asthma Care of New York.
