Ever since I was a kid picking dandelions in the back yard for mom, my allergies wreaked havoc on my nose! Now it just seems to be a forever thing. I'm constantly stuffed up throughout the year. Sleeping at night is horrendous. I can't imagine having someone that would want sleep next to me. sad

Has anyone tried the herb butterbur? or Quercetin?

I'm currently taking this chinese herb supplement that my doctor suggested, its called: Golden Flower Chinese Herbs: Jade Screen & Xanthium Formula. No relief yet, its been about a week. :(

Suggestions? please?

A week isn't enough time for stuff to kick in. Perhaps try it for a full month. If no relief, you can always go back to your doctor. Also, it takes a few years to get in your system, but if you do a tablespoon of local honey daily, it supposedly gets your allergies immune for that area.

Get a saline sinus wash, like a neti pot, and use it daily.

Actually, I use my neti pot every time I go outside in the high mold or pollen. It seems to wash the irritants out of my nose and decrease the reaction.

I've suffered from sinus allergy and infections my whole life, and really sympathize with you. I'd tried many things, and years ago I had a horrible attack, and went into a small shop in the mall selling vitamins and stuff. The clerk had recommended this squat little bottle of A. Vogel Allergy Relief, which is homeopathic, small tablets placed under the tongue, made in Switzerland. It works immediately on my itchy eyes, sneezing, burning, reddening ears from my sun allergy, and other allergy symptoms. I always slip a couple under my tongue when I go out to work in the yard, just in case. It was pretty pricey, but I've been getting it online for half that price ever since.

When A. Vogel came out with Sinus Relief, I got a bottle of it too, and while I haven't used it more than a couple of times, it did make my sinuses feel a lot better, and quickly.

I used a nasal syringe for awhile, to wash out infections, but then was given a bottle of XYLITOL Xlear nasal wash by a friend, and it does a better, less messy job. I get it online as well, and use it a few times a day or more.

I hope you find something that works for you.

I tried almost everything mentioned in this post. I went the homeopathic route for awhile. Unfortunately, none of it ever worked for me. I'm glad it works for you guys though!
