At this very moment I am having a pretty bad break out. I'm slowly growing to full coverage. I did everything normal for me to not flare up but lately I have been tearing at my legs, buttocks and arms for about a week now. I thought it was from me having an allergy attack last weekend but everything I have tried has not worked including my daily regimen. I really don't want to go to the hospital because my boyfriend is at work and he needs the overtime if you catch my drift. I can try and hold out longer but I need quick responses if anyone knows something I can try right now?!!! PLEASE?!!!! I tried the cold shower, I tried taking more antihistamines, I tried changing clothes and sheets. It has been steadily rising for about 5 hours now and I don't know what to do. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!
ps: it took me about a half hour to type this due to periodically scratching my skin away.

Perhaps you should see your doctor and get a refferal to see an allergist..

I have seen an allergist, and they dont know the cause but continue to tell me to take some meds to keep them at bay. Last night, I did everything I could think of but nothing worked. I am better this afternoon.

When I had an allergic reaction to penicillin and had to go to the ER. For a full month after I kept getting hives off and on. I had to take a special antihistimine to keep the itching at bay.
If it comes back again see a doctor or the ER ASAP.

Pretty Imperfection, take a hot shower or warm shower the next time you break out for some un apparent reason that doctors have no clue about. I'm glad your feeling well. nono

Hot or Warm showers bother my hives when they get like this. Best thing is a cold or lukewarm shower. Thank you and welcome to Healing Well.

have you tried benadryl?

i had a TERRIBLE breakout (the worst in my life) after a reaction to an iron infusion. i literally could not function enough to eat, sleep, do anything. i was scratching day and night and putting ice packs all over myself. basically, during those horrendous two weeks, i took benadryl every day to try and sleep the time away because being awake was pure hell.

you could also try doxepin but you'd need a prescription. it's basically a SUPER strong benadryl.

I take benadryl along with allegra twice a day; thats how bad they are. And yes I did take some extra. I didn't take my vitamin D3 1000 IU last night or this morning and the itching has been nonexistent. Maybe it was the extra vitamin d that did that. I'm better now, and thanks for the tip, I'll ask my doctor for it and research it myself
