Hi all, Im a newbie just after a bit of advice please.

A few months ago I started getting hives and itchy head - I narrowed it down to the daily peanut butter on toast I had (symtoms stopped at weekends when I didnt have it) and that I had a peanut allergy. Then a few weeks ago I started getting daily headaches, more pronounced after eating, palpitations, insomnia and general fatigue. I then ate some french bread and all my sinuses closed up. Ive been to the docs and theyve finally sent me for a blood test to see if Im allergic to wheat.
I was diagnosed with colitis about 7 years ago - very mild by other peoples standards. I dont have daily tablets but just use suppositories when the need arises (Im in France, they love suppositories!). Now thinking back, the times ive felt bloated and ill and have put it done to the colitis, I think was probably just this allergy.
So, couple of questions - now ive cut out wheat for a couple of days but still have sinus blockage and feel run down - is it normal to still feel bad this long afterwards?
Does anyone else suffer from restless legs due to an allergy? Or indeed insomia? I go to bed tired out but only sleep for the first couple of hours.
Any info would be most welcomed - im fed up of feeling poorly :(

Eliminating wheat is a good idea, but you really need a solid 3 weeks gluten free (look for wheat in many foods, not just bread!) before you can really say whether this is an issue for you.

You might also try a sinus saline wash - this will really help unstuff your head. In the US you can get this at any pharmacy. Not sure about France. It might also be called a neti pot.
