This has been driving me nuts now for 2 years or slightly more.

I wake up and feel fine after sleeping or nap.... I can be at the store, at home, anyplace... I feel fine, then BOOM!!! My eyes start feeling gritty or like they have fine sand in them. My eye lids or the lashes feel sensitive or itchy, making me want to pull on the lashes. It drives me nuts... I can be watching tv then it starts, I can be reading, or just sitting and talking, or outside taking a walk, or eating, anything.... It happens year around.... I try not letting it bother me, but it really is a nuisance. Sometimes my eyes start watering a lot when it happens, and yet at other times they don't water...

I had old prescription eye glasses and it started, I got an exam and got new glasses, and it still is there... the new glasses did nothing to help.

I have tried taking Benadryl thinking it was an allergy, but Benadryl did nothing to help the symptoms at all. I tried taking: Zyrtec and then CLARITIN, and neither helped the symptoms at all... Maybe it's not an allergy?

Please someone... I do not have any insurance and do not go to the doctors.

You need to get to your eye doctor. Make this appointment and tell your eye doctor what is happening and see if you might be developing dry eye's...keep us posted and many well wishes...

That's generally the symptoms for conjunctivitis or lay terms "pink eye " its highly contagious so wash your hands thoroughly and often. Warm compresses but need antibiotics for the eye.

See an eye Dr like today and if you've no insurance or money go to the ER because the sooner you start treatment the less chance of spreading.
