Whenever I run, job, or simply go up stairs I have trouble breathing when I reach the top or while I'm running or jogging, when I run/jog I start to pant and wheeze and saliva builds up in my mouth and becomes thick, I'm okay for my age and height, not over or under weight, I believe I have asthma but have never been treated for it so it has only made my condition worse as years go by. I would like other people's opinion before I try to see a doctor.

Welcome to the forum, Idk.

If I were you I'd see a good allergist. We can't diagnose here because we're not doctors. We do support each other and commiserate with you.

Best wishes.

Yes, you should see a doctor because while it could be asthma, there are other lung diseases and even heart issues that could cause similar symptoms, such as COPD or congestive heart failure. It very well could be exercise-induced asthma, but you really need to be evaluated.

You mentioned other issues you're having at the Crohn's forum which sounded like possibly an allergic reaction, so it sounds like you really need to get checked. I hope you can get some answers.

Sounds like exercise induced asthma to me. My allergic asthma consisted of tons of sneezing, etc. Definitely talk to somebody and bring up your other problems too. This would be inter-related with another health problem but IT SOUNDS LIKE EXERCISE INDUCED ASTHMA TO ME!

best wishes

I know two people with exercise induced asthma and that sounds just like what happens to them. They use an inhaler right before they exercise, but both have been checked out with the doctor regarding this condition. It isn't something you can treat yourself.

Sounds like you have Asthma..........Go see your GP as this condition can be controlled and treated with different types of inhalers.

If you don't go and see your GP then you run the risk of the condition getting worse.
