Mucus or anxiety?

Lately I've had really bad allergies and for the past 3 or so days, I've been finding it hard to breathe. I figured it could have been mucus because I've felt kind of congested but I haven't been able to cough it up. I've been taking hot showers and drinking plenty of fluids and nothing makes me cough it up. It has been making it a bit more difficult for me to breathe, however I can still take deep breaths. However, I also think it might be anxiety. I've been really stressed and anxious lately and I've realized that its been acting up more when I'm feeling the most anxious. For most of the day I'm fine. I also sometimes get shaky and sweaty... I'm thinking its more anxiety but at the same time it still feels like I have some mucus. Help?

It could be both. Try taking steam baths (either boil water alone, or boil water with a bit of vix rub) and put a towel on your head and inhale deeply for 5 to 10 minutes. Also, can you go see a doctor? if not, stop by any pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist about recommending something that would get help loosen the mucus so you can cough it up...

Grape juice and honey can help eliminate mucus. Take 3x a day for at least 5 days a mixture of 2 tbsps each of grape juice and honey. It’s a home remedy that my mother used to give us.

I used to have a lot of sticky mucus coming up from my throat when I drink or eat something wrong. Nothing help me so far to relief this problem except drinking real ginger boiled with water.

Not being able to breathe properly can cause anxiety. There is a mind body link. My solution for many problems is to drink liquids. Lots of them. They loosen the mucus up. Liquids are a good way to lose weight too. They must be sugar free.
