Hi, the reason I'm asking this question is that I don't understand whats going on with me anymore, my condition
don't seem to get better several antibiotic courses in the last 5 month flonase everyday twice a day for 5 months allegra, claritin, try both with D, no relief, now on metylperdinslone 6 day pack, had to stop flonase they said for at less 2 day was causing nose bleeds, I get I most have blow my nose to hard, don't really know. Feeling severly dizzy low oxygen level 88%
I been doing my neilmed saline nasal raises since I started
feeling stufffy about 5 months ago too. Has anyone heard of someone having a allergic reaction to maybe the bakin soda in the nasal raise, or it cause swelling in the sinues. Dont know what esle it could be. I'm on steriods and the ent said the he doesn't see sinusitis anymore, was diagnosed with sinusitis in
January and started since then several couses of antibiotics.
But for the last month the ent said there no infection present
just inflammation, even in the ears. That why I am asking could it be from the baking soda, please help if anyone has heard of
someone having problems with the riase, going to stop using the neimed saline raise, also the neilmed saline gel cause it has the same ingredients. And see finished the steriods. And see what happens. Would appreciate your input.

Welcome to the forum.

Remember, we're not doctors, so anything you read on a forum is not medical advice. We just tell you what we've learned from our own experiences, and it may have nothing to do with your problems.

I doubt your problem is from the saline sinus rinse unless you are doing it way too many times in a day. Baking soda helps make the rinse comfortable, should not cause allergic or other reaction unless you are mixing it yourself and using too much.

Sinus infections are notoriously hard to kick. The area has so little blood flow it's difficult for the medicines to get to the right spot. You may have to take meds for a long time, several weeks, to get better.

Have you seen an allergist? Inflammation is not necessarily just from infection. Allergens can cause it too. But my ENT has missed my sinus infections several times, so if you believe you have symptoms of an infection all I know to do is go back and have him take another look. You might ask him about allergies too.

I saw an allergist and now get the shots which stop most of my reactions.

You think he could miss a sinus infection even with the ct head scan the time he did a sinus scan the second time he order a whole head ct scan cause i was very dizzy and he want to make sure everything was o.k. i saw a allergies
Did all the tested and I came out neg for all. Would a ct scan be able to diagnose fungi's. Cause I saw my ent 3 times tn this 5 months was excement, and never did he mention fungi's. Is crazy to feel this way can't barely do anything without getting dizzy. But the streriods seem to be helping with the dizziness. I think this infection spread to my lungs.but NY nose is inflam but only on my second day of oral steroids.hope I dontvget worst taking sterile in I got a fungi's infection or any infection I heard this could suppress your immune system.

Has your ENT tested you for the Meniere's? Hallpike test? Do you have a plugged up feeling in an ear?
Your dizziness can be a problem with inner ear. My Meniere's symptoms started with a sinus infection.

Once, years ago when I had a sinus infection, my allergist had me try medicine for fungal infection, which didn't do anything.

Sometimes my sinus infections progress to the lungs. That's when I get my family doctor to prescribe antibiotics.
