We all know that asthma and smoking do not mix!  Most of us have given up smoking for that very reason. yeah   However, now the research is in - second-hand smoke may actually cause asthma to become more severe, and cause hospitalizations!

Take a look at this article and tell us what you think!

Teri.............Ever since Cait came home from school and sat down with Howie and I and gave us "the smoking lecture"we now do our smoking outside ,as per her shocking but true revealations ..........According to the teacher second hand smokers get two times the amount of what smokers take in .....the tar, nicotine , everything so out of respect for her we smoke on the porch and we do not let family memebers smoke in here either.....for which we have taken alot of snide remarks from them regarding Cait running our lives ya know.....that is not the case we listened to her and weighed up the good /bad and made a decision we are all comfortable with ..............have noticed a difference in her breathing and I attribute it to this not smoking in the house .........Take care and God Bless ......Lyn

Good for you, Lyn and Howie!!

Just before I quit smoking, I started smoking outdoors as

well! yeah    I found that my whole house smelled better, the walls didn't need cleaning or painting as often, my clothing smelled a whole lot better and the rest of my family didn't have to suffer any illnesses from 2nd hand smoke!!  Plus...no accidental burn holes in carpeting, furniture, etc.
