I'm 33 year old male with a 3 year old child who does not have CF. My sons mother was screened and son I believe, not 100% we live in California.

I have tremendous anxiety and take xanax for my health concerns. I am here because of an article I read.

I get bronchitis maybe every 1-2 years, only for 1-2 weeks, not chronic, when I was 15 I had pneumonia and diagnosed with mild ashtma, but never any ashtma attacks or coughs, let alone phlegm, til this day my peak score is not great. I also get a sinus infection every year, sinititis, that last a few weeks. I do however smoke marijuana when infected, possibly prolonging. My chest x-ray when I had bronchitis showed mucus, but in 2015 it was clear.

However . I have no coughing or breathing issues. I fear this since I am not prepared for diagnosis. I did ask doctor if I could get referred for atypical cf but she refused. I had this worry when I was 27 after reading blog post and went to urgent care and doc smirked.

The fact that with CF are diagnosed at early age, including me having son -- does that make it less likely to have CF?

I come here since my doctors will not give me referral so I have pay out of poccket for CF center.

I couldn't understand your message. You said your son does not have cf. Was that not right?
I don't understand why you think you have cf.
This sounds like something we can't help with in a forum. I hope you can talk to a real doctor and get some answers.

I forgot to mention that for some odd reasons I have high lipase numbers, found incidentally. Never had pancreatic attack nor evidence of pancreatic insuffiency, other than having IBS on occasion and being lactose intolerance. Loose stools I always had since early 20's but it's because i have a bad diet. If it's controlled, no issue. My appetite and weight are perfect. However the high lipase numbers (even with symptoms) warranted an EUS, which showed I had minor findings of chronic pancreatitis but without clinical sysmptoms, the gastro team does tell me I do not have chronic pancreatitis, because i dont have major findings and the minor findings can be found on lots of people with pancreas issues.

I just wanted to add that in. I made an appointment to CFF adult center but they want array of test before consultation.

My anxiety is getting the worst of me, but the more I read in google, the more I believe I have atypical CF, even with having a kid and all without. I made an appoinment next week and hopefully I can get a swet test. I'm so nervous and unable to enjoy the holidays. All this from stumbling on an article that freaked me out.

You might find that moving over to a healthy diet will help your anxiety a lot. There is more and more evidence that our gut health not only affects our immune system but our psychological health as well.
