Hi my name is Kree. I am 19 yrs old. I have this lip allergy that i have been suffering to sine last year. I started when we went to beach with my family last summer then the next day i felt like my lips were swelling, itching and its more dry than its normal. I didnt really give a notice about it then when i ate foods like egg, chicken and other stinky food? I think. I notice its becomes severe. I auffered from ot for almost 8 months then it suddenly went gone, even when i eat chicken and egg. But now it comes back, then gone after a day then comes back again. Im so upset about it because my physical image matters to me since im a college student. Please help me cry cry

Welcome to the forum.

Have you seen an allergist? If not, start keeping a food journal (see many posts in the archives - search box), and make an appointment.

If eggs don't bother you all the time the culprit is probably something else. You might not even have an allergy. You could have bitten your lip or have a dental problem.

Allergies are sometimes not due to a whole food, like the chicken, but something like a spice that was added. So, when keeping the food journal you have to write down EVERYthing you eat, drink, medicines, if there could be anything like a certain pollen in the air ......

Best wishes. I hope you will post again and let us know hou you are doing.

I already went to the doctor for a check up and she recommended me to buy this cream called HYDROCORTISINE and told me to avoid eating foods that will trigger the allergy. But sometimes i cant avoid eating it, specially when our food in our house is just egg or chicken, so i dont have a choice but to eat it. Im so tired and upset about it, i just want it to be gone. 😭😭

Swish your mouth out with liquid Benadryl before and after eating the offending food. That may help prevent the lip swelling. But you really should avoid eating foods that cause the swelling, because you never know when the symptoms of the allergy will get worse (and they can at any time).

Allergies can be caused by a leaky gut. Gluten is the most common cause of a leaky gut. To repair your gut you need to stop eating the foods which cause a leaky gut and eat foods which repair the gut with probiotics.
