I am dropping in from over on the prostate cancer forum to ask for help for my 12 year old grandson. He has been allergic to milk and milk products since a very young age, maybe age 1 or so. Now it has started to affect his social life. He has to stay away from ice cream, pizza, cheese, pies.. you name it , anything containing milk. Friday night we were at a restaurant and he broke down because he cannot enjoy many items on the menu.

Can anyone here give us advice or hope on how he can be treated to beat this allergy? Any online resources? Where can we go? We are in the North central Georgia area but will travel.

You know it is really bothering me if I am making this post and taking a break from dealing with my own disease.
Thanks in advance,
Faustmann

Eating dairy is not a good thing but if you are having problems with dairy you have to repair the gut. When you have a leaky gut the wrong things can get in the body causing an immune reaction(allergy). Here is and article which tells you how to repair the gut. You have to stop eating the process foods which have chemical in them. Have to eat the fruits and vegetables until you repair the gut.

I would check on the net for any answers to this. You can go to the search engine and type in "milk allergy" and see what some of the sites have to say.

I drink goat's milk from the grocery store, cause I have sort of trouble with regular milk, so you might try a can of that to see how it works.

There is soy milk, but some people say there are problems with that, you'll have to decide.

Faustmann, do a search for Kids Acidophilus. It's an inexpensive product that may help. Amazon.com has it and do read the parents comments.
