I caught a nasty cold and it is beating me up with my asthma.

It keeps sending me into an asthmatic cough every other hour.

I'm using my rescue inhaler but it's only works for about 2 hours then I start wheezing and coughing again. I don't use the inhaler until time for next dose. UNTIL then I monitor my pulse oxygen and concentrate on slow deep breathes.

Any other ideas to battle through this? skull

They have given me predesone tablets (very small amount because I am allergic to drugs) to push me over the hill.

Sorry you are having this problem which I am all too familiar with.

Ascorbic acid 1000 mg a day kills colds and if you keep taking them I never ever get colds
. I take 2 - 1000 mg a day and has helped greatly with Candida. It also really helps asthma because it eliminates the mucous that clogs up your lungs like an air filter in a car.

I would say Vitamin C, and lots of chicken noodle soup and then get into the doctor! I had a bad flair last week and was put on Breo which is helping...You might need another medication so seek out professional help...and hope your better soon, sucks to be sick so you have my healing wishes...get well!

I got sick on the 23rd just in time for Christmas. HORRIBLE callous treatment by the so called "medical professionals". Pray to die in my sleep.

Just went to urgent care for this today. They put me on 20mgs of prednisone for 5 days and told me to use my rescue inhaler as needed. Was getting so bad that nothing helped and I was getting really dizzy after my inhaler
