Intolerance to Milk, Soy Milk, Lactate, Almond Milk

At first it was Milk which caused me bloating, gurgling, discomfort, and diarrhea.

I have had IBS forever, but once my Gall Bladder was removed, I don't have it quite so severe.

I tolerated Lactate Milk, Almond Milk, and Soy Milk for a while... BUT, now they all seem to be a problem.

I seem to tolerate cheese, butter, ice cream, yogurt, cream, and cottage cheese just fine. I can even tolerate milk in potato soup, etc.

So, why do I have an issue with cereal and these Milk products.

If you tolerate some milk products but not others, what is the time between consuming the product and the reactions? I find I can't eat ice cream or drink regular milk even a few minutes, but lasagna doesn't get to me for a few hours. Keep a food diary for a while and then see an allergist.

As for the nut milks, maybe try coconut milk, making sure it doesn't contain preservatives like sulfite. Find out what's in the nut milk products. It may have nothing to do with the nuts.

That's why you need the food journal. It may be something else you consumed the same day. Some intolerances don't show up for hours or even a couple of days (as in sulfite headaches).

See an allergist, and if the first one is no help, try another one. It took me 3 to find one who knew about my intolerance.
