I recently suffered anaphylaxis shock to an unknown allergic. Am currently waiting to see an allergist. I am just wondering if anyone out there who has suffered such an attack can tell me how long it took to recover. I am one week post incident and still don't feel well no energy, sometimes minor chest pain.

It can take time to fully recover, so give yourself some more time.
Try to put a list together of everything you ate that day, any medications you took, as it can help pin point the cause. Did you notice any unusual scents? Did you eat shell fish before it happened, sea salt?
Most people don't realize that shell fish is in sea salt...
So start a list...list foods, then drinks and then medications you took that day...
Hope your feeling better soon...

Hey this actually happened to me about two weeks ago. It's the second time in the past year where I've had my entire mouth and throat swell and not know why as I was eating a plate full of all sorts of things. Since then my mouth and throat have been crazy hyper sensitive and I seem to be reacting to many food items and not able to eat much!! I'm looking for the same answers as you are.
I've been to many allergy specialists over the years. The skin prick tests have never revealed anything. Even to items I know I'm allergic too.
So I just went to do some very expensive blood tests in hopes of getting something. But those are limited to certain items and you pay per item which sucks.

I had one recently and was agitated and surprised as was in sun and overheated.

I have lupus so try to stay away but my throat was closing and swelling alone with my face.

It has happened to me after 5-6 hrs being in sun .

Sometimes my vocal chords are stuck and i cannot speak .Because of swelling .

As something was injected in ER i was saved but this time i stayed indoors in AC and swelling went away.
So did not follow up.

I tracked what I ate outside and at home ,have severe fish allergy. Also fake jewellery allergy.
Both I had done,i wore new fashion earrings and ate some dish out which said chicken but had fishy something in it.

also in summer and evening I get more anxious as i have yellow jacket allergy which came out negative in skin and blood panel???
so overall I have to be very careful around myself or i might land in ER anytime .

You will be fine just make sure you carry EPI-PEN and know how to use it .

BE careful and strong !!

GOOD LUCK!
