ive tried 2 kinds of antibiotics to no avail. i went to the emergency room. had an x-ray. all they said i had was acute bronchitis. its know gonna be 2 weeks of suffering. the only thing that is helping a little is the inhaler but i have to take it like every 3 hours with like 4 puffs or symptoms return. i got chest tightness, shortness of breath, and coughing that is usually worse at night. also im taking an over the counter cough suppressant which is helping a little.

all this crap started after having a really bad cold. which later went onto my ears. then the ears went away. but the next day i have trouble breathing.

this is killing me. i cant focus of my work because of this.

is there anyway this can be asthma/allergies related? i have both.

i dont know what to do. what could be going on?

Hello Mike, sorry to hear about your situation. Bronchitis is a tough one. I am prone getting it. If you have asthma, yes it can contribute. Many years ago my dr ordered me a nebulizer to use at home. This helps a lot. I suggest going back to your dr & discuss getting one.

I hope you get to feeling better.

Hi Mike,

Sorry to hear how bad you am mate.

I've had chronic bronchitis since my early 20's and i'm 49 now it's a nightmare and antibiotics don't help or cough medicine but while on the antibiotics take probiotics such as yacults / yogurts as they help your immune system with the antibiotics regarding fighting the bronchitis.

I had a bad cough for 3mths last year and 3 lots of different antibiotics they tried with me and nothing worked, ended up having x-rays and diagnosed with COPD lung disease but do be careful regarding pleurisy and phenomena.

Try inhaling friers balsam in a bowel with a towel over your head it's helped me many times in the past and also burning eucalyptus oil.

Type this in your search engine as links are'nt attaching-
Lupus SLE/SCLE/Secondary Sjogren’s syndrome/Raynaud's phenomenon/Scleroderma
Antiphospholipid Syndrome/Peripheral neuropathy/Muscle Atrophy/COPD/Hypothyroidism
Chronic IBS/Epilepsy/ (Bipolar-Manic depression-OCD)
