Hi all. I am having a bad asthma flare. I'm having to take duo ned every 4 hours.

I get these episodes where my breathing will all of the sudden slow. My rate is 6 per min. I have been to the hospital when I was having 8 respirations, and they said it was ok. Is having 6 per min ok? I think I'm already a slow breather. According to my pulse ox, my SpO is fine (97-99)

Edit- I am an steroids and other meds (for asthma), and I took a benadryl about 15 mins before this happened.

Bethany, my thoughts are get in to see your pulmonary dr & see what he/she thinks. I think it is best to be checked out for this, may need an adjustment of your meds.

Take care.
