I currently have massive regrowth on my brown hair as I was going gradually lighter(blonde).

The thing is, after eating some sushi the first week or so after getting my hair dyed last, I had a bad allergic reaction to the sushi. Ever since, even the most normal foods I eat provoke some kind of reaction in me from an itchy throat to a speckly red rash so I think it might be wise to not put any chemicals on my head while in this sensitive stage.

The thing is though, my hair really took to the blonde which, would normally be good but now I have regrowth and am not sure if going to the hairdresser would provoke another attack since I seem sensitive to even food and soaps right now.

I mean, nothing may even happen but because my system seems sensitive right now I may have to run around looking a little like a skunk. :p

Any ideas? I heard that patch tests are completely unreliable in cases like this.

You have a couple of options, harsh chemicals are taxing on a normal scalp let alone one that is sensitive, so A) You can use a semi permanant dye, it's still harsh but not as bad as permanant, B) Use a hair rinse, which should not bother you in the least since it has an alkaline base. The only thing with this is that you will have to use it everyday if you wash your hair everyday C) We can start calling you Pepe Le Pu smile
I like option B since it's the safest and most gentlest on your scalp. And yes btw, I went to beauty school for hair (I just didn't graduate...2 months shy, because the smell of wet hair nauseated me) lol

I can only use Head & Shoulders for Sensitive Scalp as a shampoo. Ever since I had an allergic reaction to a "natural" hair shampoo bought in a Nature Store. I even had to go on prednisone. So I can never color my hair either anymore. Oh well! smurf
