I’ve been having a ton of weird, frustrating symptoms for months now but among them is shortness of breath, fatigue, and chest pain after little exercise (ex: I was chasing my dog for all of five minutes and I was so short of breath I could barely talk, I was a little dizzy, and my lungs felt like they were on fire, or fatigue, shortness of breath, and weakness/shakiness after ten minutes of light swimming (I used to be a swimmer and that only used to happen after sprints or long events). I feel like I’m in reasonably fine shape, and my health has been good up until a few months ago (stubborn GI symptoms, occasional fatigue, dizziness when standing). Exercise-induced asthma maybe?

Hello ejt998, I did a search here & found some old threads about exercise induced asthma. Have you discussed this with your dr? Some people had it so bad they were rx'd an inhaler to help out when this happens. I have experienced the same symptoms you did chasing your dog. The last time it happened my grandson had wrecked on his bike & hit his mouth on the concrete. Being a little older by the time I got him to the driveway & inside I had a terrible time getting my breath. I chalked much of it up to an adrenalin rush too. I was extremely scared at the time.

Get checked out by your dr at least.

You should have your heart checked out. These symptoms can be from a clogged coronary artery.

I am going through the same thing right now.
Where if I exercise a little more then walking I get short of breath and chest hurts. I had an EKG on the treadmill (stress test) as well as a echocardiogram and both came back fine.
So I'm going to dig a little deeper.
How has your stress been lately?
Do you have anxiety?

Anyway I was diagnosed with GAD and they said it is very possible to have these symptoms.

I am trying to sleep with a dehumidifier and using essential oils lavender, peppermint, breath again, eucalyptus, and going from there.

I would definitely go see a doctor as soon as you get the chance.

Let me know how it goes.

You should see a doctor. I have had asthma since 1983 and am short of breath a lot especially after getting over a virus. Definitely rule out heart problem. I have allergic asthma which is a "strange but true" ailment.

I swim by walking in deep water. I think it helps arthritis to be in the water. Could you try that?
