My throat also feels really dry. i sometimes get light headed and feel somewhat sick. I feel like a lot of pressure around the nose area that sometimes it feels like its hard to breath. my mommy said its just allergies. but why all of the sudden it hit me so hard? please help! thank you smile

Hi nikool smile Your symptoms can be a from a number of things such as allergies, dry air, ear infection or a possible a sinus infection. Allergies can come on suddenly with no history or warning. Allergies come not only from your environment but food as well. Have you tried any allergy meds yet? I read in one of your other posts from another forum that you are 18? Do you notice these symptoms after you eat a certain food? For a few days, keep a diary of all the things that you have done including the environment in where you live for example, was it dry and arid out or was it wet and muggy, cold and damp etc. Also write down what you were doing or eating if you notice your symptoms coming back. This is a good indication of what to look for because if you have allergies there should be common connection in your diary.
Do you smoke or if you live with your mom or dad, do they smoke? Smoke is also a known irritant to the sinuses and lungs.
Good luck and let us know how it goes if you try the diary.

Hi there,

I used to get similar symptoms...are you using different air freshner or cleaning products? I used to have severe headaches frequently too but I started buying products that don't have the harmful chemicals or toxins in them and my headaches are now under control and I don't have the allergies or sinus problems anymore. So maybe and allergy or chemical insensitvity? Definately food could be the culprit too. A diary or journal of activities and foods you consume would be a great idea and a good indicator of an allergy.  Good luck and I hope you feel better!!
