I have been getting these hives everyday for about 6 months now.  This weekend was the first hot- sunny day here in MA.  I now relize that sunburn= hives.  I broke out in large white welts everywhere the sun burnt my body.  Does any one else have this sort of reaction.  Does sunscreen help??  It's bad enough to have a sunburn but worse to have ichy hives on top of it!! mad

*I just added a title to your post*

My sister-in-law always gets a rash when the first nice weather pops out here in NY. She goes tanning at a salon slowly to build up a base tan first before hitting the real outdoors. I'd suggest trying some heavy SPF sunscreen and also, by all means, take Benadryl to stop the histamine reaction and get rid of the hives. Don't make yourself suffer w/ the itching.
