I am 40 yrs old and all around healthy.I think that I have a sinus infection. I had a viral infection a few weeks ago and was treated with anitbiotics. Since I have been getting over this virus, I ahve been quite foggy headed which in turn makes me think that I have problems remembering short term things. I am worried that I am actually making things worse by dwelling on it, but can sinus pressure cause any memory type or concentration problems? I have a slight imbalance that is getting better and when I wake up I feel great. I am very stuffy however and am taking Benadryl for sinus congestion. Some phlem in the morning, but the pressure in the front above the eyes last most of the morning and then clears up by evening. I have never had alergies before (that I know of) and other than some of the pressure do not seem to have a typical sinus infection, i.e runny nose, itchy eyes, cough etc. I do live out in the country (several years and we do have mustard weed) .

As far as I know sinus infections don't lead to memory loss nor does allergies. Sometimes when we are sick are head gets foggy anyway until we get better. As for the ears popping and ringing, if it's not due to the sinus infection; I would recommend you see an ear/nose/throat specialist.

Do you have a history of ear problems? Sometimes you can get a build up of fluid in your ear behind the eardrum and will make the popping, It can also cause dizzyness, lots of pressure in your head/face. Are you drinking alot of water? Sometimes it is best to drink as much as you can to thin out the build up of goo in your sinus and ears. Good Luck!

Yes, 8 to 10 per day. My ND diagnosed me with a Chronic Fatigue Virus and short term hypoglycemia. He also told me not to take Ginko Biloba due to it is over exciting me at this time. I am perplexed though as to why it is so hard to concentrate lately. I t takes me a minute to recall some recent thoughts, i.e. what did I come in here to do? or who am I calling again? I have always had a quick and sharp mind, but I seem rather clumsy as of late. Too much on the mind and dwelling on my health I suspect. I am a 30 yr old male.

yesterday, while biking a hard course, my pulse was over 180 and the sweat was pouring. I felt this sensation as if my ears were emptying. It felt hot, but good. The body is an amazing creation! Thanks for the advice.

The problems with the concentrating could be due to the chronic Fatigue or to anxiety. It is something I would talk to a doctor about.
