Hello everyone, I am a Cpl in the Marine Corps on active duty and I recently found out that I'm allergic to P-tert butylphenl formaldehyde resin.  I'm mainly concerned about finding shoes that do not have this chemical in them.  So if anyone has any advice for me please let me know.

Check with shoe makers and see if any make boots that don't contain this chemical your dress type shoe should not be to bad if you keep your feet dry and use a protective cream.

It is the boots that may cause the biggist problem as moisture causes a breakdown of the chemical and releases the allergen

And i know that a marine can not keep boots dry.

One last thing when you get out of the marine corp file for a service connected disablity rating for this. AS IT WAS MOST LIKELY CAUSED BY WEARING WET BOOTS WITH THIS CHEMICAL IN THEM.
