I'm being tested for this as the cause of my chronic asthma and pneumonia episodes.  If anyone has any information / experience with this please respond.

I don't know much. My 6yr old was tested for this but tested negative. His pedi dr is referring us to an infectious disease specialist. They will probably re-do the tests.

CVID was confirmed yesterday when the blood test revealed little or no antibody response to the pneumonia shot back in October.  (I had another bout of pneumonia 5 weeks after the shot.)  This means monthly IVIG infusions for an indefinite time period.  The good news is that this explains all the respiratory issues I've had in the last five years.  The bad news is having to go to the hospital monthly for the IVIG.

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
