Hi everyone,
This is my first post, so, I'll just tell you about my wonderful eye lump.  I'm 22 and a few weeks ago, my eyes puffed up and were watering.  My left eye pussed a little bit; a white, creamy puss.  The eyes healed in a few days, but on my left eye there was a lingering lump underneath my upper eyelid close to the nose.  The lump itself is painful, but normally doesn't interfere with normal eye function.  For example, toward the end of the day, when I'm getting tired and my eyes begin to get tired, the lump may start to hurt.  Over the last few days, the lump has gotten bigger.  Actually, I'm not sure if the lump is getting bigger, but my eyelid is swelling  There is no puss or over watering.   But my eyelid is very red. Is this something that I should be worried about or should I just let it run its course?  What are the possibilities that this could be?  I know it's not a stye b/c I've had a few of those in the past.  Thank you for your help!

Cheer <3

PS I do suffer from asthma and allergies, as well as psoriasis.

Even though you say you don't think it's a stye, that is what it sounds like. Or maybe even a cyst. I had a cyst on my right eye that was painful and made my eye swollen, eventually I had to have it surgically removed. My eyelid would swell up so large that it took 2 hours of warm compresses to take down the swelling. Definately go and have this checked out by a doctor. In the meantime, try using warm compresses every 20 minutes for about 5 minutes each time. I would take a washcloth, put it in a plastic baggie and microwave it to heat it - warm not hot. They also have a stye cream you can use from the pharmacy. Even if you don't have a stye, it might help alleviate some of the irritation. Or I just thought of another possibility, maybe even a blocked tear duct. In either case, the warm compresses should help a lot. And btw, welcome to Healingwell.

Sorry that you are haveing a hard time. I would go to the DR asap. That could be any number of things. But to me it is serious being so close to the brain. Do not mean to scare you, but I would hate to see you have a serious complication. I hope you get get to feeling better.  Kris
