I saw the lung doc(actually his nurse practitioner as I haven't seen the doc the past two months appointments). She put me on uniphyl 400mg. I have never been on this so any information on it would be appreciated. Also on prednisone for 5 days. They think I have new allergy but don't know what it is. I really do not feel well so should I go to my internist also? Hopefully these meds will help/ Thanks for any feedback:)

Another name for Uniphyl is Theophylline. It's a prophylaxis and symptomatic relief of bronchial asthma, as well as bronchospasm associated w/chronic bronchitis & emphysema. This info is taken from 2007 Drug Guide.

IS your new medication working? I don't know anything about the new medication you mentioned. Just curious to how your feeling, and doing on the medication. I have been having nighttime trouble lately myself with my asthma. Thanks, Brandi..

I just picked up the new medicine tonight. I was told to start it in the morning so will start it tomorrow. I have another sinus infection and it goes right to the chest and gives me major asthma attacks. I hope this works as I am getting worn out. I was having night troubles too Brandi so couldn't get much sleep. Thanks pegleg for the info:) Has anyone tried this med and has it worked for them without many side effects?
