I'm going to be taking an allergy test. They ask about what medicines I take. Every thing was fine except for Ambien. I wander why? They said don't take for three days before test. I wander if its that way with other sleeping meds. Anyone know? Thanks, Dee

wouldn't know about that. Ambien I have taken in the past, and that medication messed with my head. I was seeing things on that medication. That is a known side affect to Ambien my psychiatrist told me. Once I stop Ambien no more seeing things or disturbing dreams. Never heard why Ambien would have to be stopped before Allergy testing.. cool

My dreams are vivid, but not to bad.

I couldn't find anything about allergy testing and Ambien. Have you asked them why you had to stop the Ambien? The only thing I can think of is that Ambien has a cummulative affect on your body and maybe there is a component in Ambien that could throw the tests off? Or maybe in case they have to use an antihistamine in case of severe allergic reactions could make you extremely tired because of the cummulative effect of Ambien? Whatever you find out, let us know ok?
