Hi-

mom was diagnost with 13.2 TSH & T3 & T4 normal.  Her new doctor gave her 25mcg Synthroid...almost immediately -2-3 days - she felt extreem exhaustion - to the poitn where she can barely get out of bed.  So we were advised by an ER doc to stop it , so we did for 2 days, until we saw her doc.

her doctor put her back on the 25mcg of Synthroid she can notfigure out why she's so exhausted, but thinks it may just be her body reacting to the synthroid.  Could that be??

My mom was very active prior to this  but now spends her days in Bed.....

I'm so desperate for help.. any advice?? and what is normal range of TSH?

Thanks

Hi:) My son and I both have thyroid disease(Hoshimoto) and take synthroid. We are exhausted when we don't take the medicine. Maybe your Mom needs to get the medicine going in her system to take the tiredness away.

Hey there

I am a thyroid sufferer, I am a member of various boards about it where you can pick up good resources to look up test results and pick up tips on why she might feel this way.

25 is not an enormous dose. Did the doc do Free T3/T4 tests or totals? Has she been tested for thyroid antibodies?

If you wish to pm me I can tell you where I got most of my info :-)
