hi. i started a z pack last thurs. i have a sinus infection and a ruptured ear drum=left. I have not had any snot so to speak and little to no drainage. When I blow my nose I get nothing but dryness and a little blood. The pressure in my head is intense. Im having headaches, a bit of dizziness and I can feel it moving under my right eye. ive been taking duratuss since Friday, heating pad, humidifier, saline solution, menthol smells and i can't seem to get relief. Can someone please help! Anyone have frequent urination with these meds? I am working, but my IBS is off due to meds and i have anxiousness and such dull headaches and wooziness. Its awful

I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling so poorly. Sinus infections are horrible! I have never had a ruptured ear drum but I can only imagine the pain. I'm sorry I can't be much help but if it continues maybe you should see an ENT. Just curious, have you tried any Sinus headache medications such as Tylonel Sinus? Maybe that will help with the sinus headaches? or maybe even Excedrin Sinus.....this helps me with my sinus headaches without drying me up. Hang in there and I hope you find relief soon.

How high is your dose? The higher the dose the higher chance of side effects. But yes, you might definately get them.

For 3 days then you shouldn't have too bad of side effects. Hopefully this will get you back to feeling better.

Hi

You might want to try Quercetin (a natural antihistamine) and use a netti pot. These are only things that helped me after enduring 2 months of sinus problems and toothaches. Three weeks after starting the quercetin I am almost back to normal... whatever that is.

Hi,

I got both the quercetin and the netti pot from my local health food store, but I know my Naturpath also carries it. The brand name is Natural Factors. I take it 3 times a day. I have had no side effects, other than feeling a lot better, and I have a lot of food sensitivities.

Hope it helps.

Thank you. im going to look into it. i have just fiinshed 60mg of prednisolone for three days and a zpack the week before that. I still had a lot of problems today. All of the sudden, the top of my nose (on the inside) developed such strong pressure going out under my eyes that my nose swelled. I looked like someone punched me in the face. Ive got post nasal drip but no snot. The pressure is so intense. I dont get it, this is not like me at all. I was able to get some relief from guifanex.

Hope it helps. I am sending you this site if you want more info on Quecetin.

However the netti pot I think offers more immediate relief.
