Hello there. Been awhile since I've last posted on these boards. :)

I've got a new problem... about two weeks ago I noticed this annoying lump on the right side of my throat. Now, I'm not instantly thinking its cancer, but I really want this thing GONE cause thinking about it really annoys me sometimes. :P It hasn't grown in size. Its gone down a little, and the right side of my mouth (around my tonsil) looks a little irritated. Sometimes it feels kinda sore, sometimes it does not. Sometimes feels like I pulled something in my neck... It feels somewhat hard, and it cannot be moved. Sometimes it feels like my right ear is slightly clogged up too, and it feels "funny".

Would these be common symptoms of post-nasal? I've also got a cat so I was thinking he could be the cause... my dad says its allergies but I've been taking an allergy pill daily and the lymph node only seems to go away for a moment (usually when I wake up, I can barely see it) then it flares up to its previous size (about the size of my thumb print or so.. or maybe a little smaller). My father says it could be from a viral infection too, but I haven't really felt sick... just annoyed by this feeling. Any suggestions?

Any swollen lymph nodes need to brought to the attention of your doc since it can indicate that something is wacky in your system. It might just be an infection ie. ear infection or sinus infection or possibly a cyst. It's best to have it checked out to be on the safe side.

Err... I'd like to edit that "non-movable" comment... The Lymph Node actually IS movable, though it feels darn weird when I move it. Kinda like a rubber ball. Anyway, I just set up an appointment with my doctor. Hopefully its just a minor infection like my dad says it is (he's a doctor as well... but I wanna be 100% sure on this). Thanks for the comment Red! If anyone else has had any similar experiences with this, please share.
