my 6 yr. old son has allergies to

venison, dairy, beef, soy, wheat, corn, oat, fish, shell fish, all nuts, most trees and grass, mice, cats, dogs, horses, cows, all forms of dust, rice, coconut and is hyper sensitive to all cleaning supplies, soaps, perfumes etc.

We are having issues at school. I can't get them to comprhend the severity of these issues. I have read numerous articles that state (especially in boys) children with severe food and other allergies can exhibit add and adhd behaviors. i have noticed this in my son at school and at home when exposed to allergens. Especially when cleaning. he gets hyper, aggitated, and extremely sensitive to the touch. Can't concentrate etc. School has labeled him a behavior problem. Stick him in a little room all by himself no stimulation etc. anyone else have these problems or any ideas what to do thanks

My cousin (now 12 yrs old) has dyslexia and ADHD. He had to go through many of the things your saying about your son. The teachers would place him in separate rooms or they would send him home. My aunt also found that his behavioural problems would an increase when he ate certain foods such as eggs or any type of packaged food.

For the last two years she has been giving him a fish oil product called Eflax( there have been several British studies made to show that it reduces the symptoms these learning and attention disorders).

Up until last year my cousin could not read and there where times where my aunt had to sit in the back of his class because she was the only one who was able to control him.

After taking Eflax he now has friends, can read, has an easier time expressing him self verbally, doesn’t get frustrated as often, but he still has to stay away form the foods that give him the biggest reactions. Though you’ll also find that your son will tell you when he feels anxious and hyper when he is near any allergens as he gets older(just ask him… unless of course it’s a favourite food…).

Iam waiting to hear about vitamin supplements. seems when he gets an allergy attack his behavior flares. he has not been in school for almost 1 month. i know dust is a really big one that gets him going. will have to ask dr. about that fish stuff do not think he can though with his severe fish allergy. i too have cut back almost illiminated all packaged foods no juices or sodas etc. seems to help here at home. We have a meeting at school today will see
thanks for the info.
