Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help with post nasal drip.  I am allergic to every tree, grass, weed as well as molds, dust, cats and dogs.  As for my job I work at a veterinarian's office go figure.  Sometimes the PND is so bad I feel like I am going to vomit.

Usually allergy medications should help with PND. Are you on any allergy meds? I see in your sig that you're on Singulair, when do you take this and is that for your asthma or allergies?

The singulair is for my asthma. I have tried many of the allergy meds out there including zyrtec, claratin and allegra. While taking these meds I found I also had to take benadryl in addition to the allergy meds. I figured why am I paying for these meds when they just aren't cutting it. My ENT does not want me to be on any of the allergy nose sprays since my sinuses are very dry I had tried the nose sprays in the past as well. I do get allergy shots however I have not gotten them in over a month since I ended up in the hospital for my Crohn's disease and had 2 major abdominal surgeries. Also there is a possibility of an abscess still in my intestines so I am still unab;e to get the shots.

Ok, here are some ideas to try if you haven't already done so. You can try a saline nose spray - this won't dry out your nose or sinus and it may help clear some of that gunk in the back of your throat. Also gargling with warm salt walter will help break that up too. And maybe Halls cough drops with menthol may help break that up. It sounds like you've had a rough road, the last thing you need is something as annoying as PND to bust you up huh?
