I have this little bump just above my gum behind my upper teeth. It is not particularly painful, but it feels swollen.

I had a similar one the other night just to the left of this one and it went away after I drank some water.

My dad looked at it and he said it didn't look like a chancre sore at all, just a small little swollen area.

I have a great deal of anxiety and I have also been drinking soft drinks lately (like Pepsi, Dr Pepper) ...I wonder if this has something to do with it???

I brush my teeth regularly and gargle with Listerine quite often...

Has anybody else ever had this happen?

Could it be allergies? related to the Soda pop or the Listerine?

I want to know so I can start eliminating possibl causes...

OK, it went away pretty rapidly...Have a friend who told me that she used to get the same really soft and puffy gums and never knew why...I suspect it was the Dr. Pepper and the Pepsi I drank (?)...Havent had a soft drink in two days and I'm not having a problem.

Strange!

I'm glad that you figured it out and it was an easy solution. Sugars can do some pretty strange things to the body thats for sure!
