Im on claritin, can i take a test?

I have been on this for childhood allergies, now i am an adult and need to take the blood test and need to know how far ahead i need to be off claritin in order to take the scratch and blood tests.

They usually recommend a week or two but you should call your doctor and find out what their rule is regarding this.

okay here's a list of what my allergist had me avoid: some antidepressants have to be avoid as determined by your allergist, Antihistamines stop 5 days before skin testing, Eye drops stop 5 days before skin testing, Heartburn medicines stop 5 days before skin testing and discuss optional treatments with allergist, Nose sprays stop 5 days before skin testing, and all Heart/high blood pressure/ migraine medicines discuss with your allergist before stopping.....
I hope this helps and that you talk to your allergist before testing if your not sure.
