Hello all,
I awoke yesterday with a sore throat and chalked it up as PND issues.  The strange thing is that it stayed all day even with taking benadryl.  I still have the sore throat today.  I had abdominal surgery 3 weeks ago and was placed on pred to help with inflamation and yesterday was my first day without it.  I also ran a low grade fever last night and have been having pain in my abdomen.  I keep monitoring my temp due to my surgery, it was my 3rd one in 4 months for crohn's disease with issues of perforating intestines ostomy abscesses and reversal of ostomy which is why I monitor my temp frequently.  My temp was 100.3 last night so I was slightly concerned but it dropped down a little on its own.  I dont know if I am getting sick or if it is my surgery area.  Today I have no fever yet, knock on wood, I just do not want to go to the hospital if the fever is just from my throat.
I also have asthma and so far it is staying as it has been.  I am allergic to all pollen, dust, cats (I have 2 and work at an animal hospital but I have not returned back to work and have been out since Feb), dogs, and molds as well as peanuts and I also have oral allergy syndrome.  Today my throat seems to hurt more on the right side but it still a little sore on the left.
Can anyone help me please do you think this sounds more like allergies or starting of something else?

Definately call your doc. Pred can also lower your immune system so you need to be careful. Any fever, especially after surgery, should always be reported to your doctor immediately especially with CD.
