Do any of you who visit this site live in Texas- I would like to be in contact with anyone, as I will be moving there soon.  I am concerned about the humidity.  Thanks.

Yes I live just south of Houston where we have 100% humidity somedays, it really hits you in May the heat. The first week in May is a bad time for me as it's starting to get really hot then and in September you'll be wanting it to cool down when we are still very hot. What time of year you planning on moving here? November and February are good months to come on down, it's still a little cool then. What are your concerns? Ask for Doctor referrals. Allergy & Asthma Associates, is a good clinic around Houston Area......San Antonio is a dry heat, very very hot too, I think Hotter than Houston............ Hope this helps

Chartreux- I winter in SA- I will be back down in about 6 weeks.  I think the humidity is AWFUL!!  Of course, I am on the desert up here.  Do you just have to stay inside in the summer?  I have never been there past May- I am a little afraid that the humidity might trigger.  I saw your profile on the left hand side of the screen- we are almost the same! Is there a better area for asthma to live in?  I want to be near my daughter- she is between SA/Austin. Also want to be by good medical- but not in the city- maybe 1/2 hour away... I'll talk later- time to sleep...Thanks

The San Antonio area is not usually humid, more dry. Here right now it's 50 to 65f at night and around lower 80's during the day...Kinda nice... I agree with SnowyLynne Houston is probably the most humid part of Texas along with Corpus Christi. I think in Austin you might have some humidity, just not too bad. The weather in San Antonio actually is not to bad for my asthma, we've been there in December and it's nice for me, but my husband allergies flair in San Antonio. Get on down to the Riverwalk in San Antonio it's nice and go to the Japanese garden there too, it's beautiful. Yes between noon and 7 pm during June thru September I try to stay indoors as much as possible cause the heat hits you as soon as you open the door.
Nice to meet you by the way........Hope you slept well......
