Can anyone give some details about the procedure of PET scan for neuroimaging? I am to have a PET Scan for neuroimaging and I am absolutely petrified -- frightened of the machine and the confinement. Can you give details if the PET Scan is similar to MRI, i.e., size of tube and design of machine. Also does anyone know if one can receive neuroimaging with an open machine? Any details much appreciated.
