..........I was sitting here this am yaking to Effie and lo and behold a knock on my door .......looked out the peekhole and here is my MOM at the door ,God Bless her soul ........She came to check on me as she was worried about me she said .......can you believe this...........well I just was in total shock and I couldnt ask how she remembered how to get here (although I can see her place from here).......but it was soo nice to have her just show up like that scary but nice .In she comes and plops down acts like this is the norm and has her water and a smoke I was still dumbfounded (usually am lol) and about half hour goes by and Dad shows up pale as can be as he has no idea where Mom is ....he had called all the family in town and I had been on here so he couldnt get thru to me .........I felt so bad as he was so worried but managed to calm him down somewhat ......he told Mom to leave a note when she goes out lol.......Mom very indignantly tells him she is quite capable of going out and doesnt need a watchdog .........I tell ya it was such a zoo here with all this going on but I felt relieved that she got here and not lost. This now has made me decide to have her registered with the Alzheimers Society in case she gets the urge to travel again ,and does end up getting lost . I just had to share this .....was quite the experience today lol.........hope all is well ......God Bless and take care ......Lyn
