I go and see my mom every night at the nursing home In the past 3 or 4 days she has been screaming and crying when I leave She has severe dementia How should I handle this and should I keep going and see her every night?
My heart is broke
Thank you

It's pretty tough being the caregiver. But you also have to take care of yourself too. Try taking a night off and see how it goes.
On a humorous note, my sister and I used to have to remind ourselves that "she won't remember" if we visited or not.
