I have depression and a panic disorder... they are both pretty severe... I haven't done anything (job, school, etc.) for about 4 years (I am getting sick of it).

Things were getting better. I was on Cymbalta and Klonopin... and it seemed to get better after that and a LOT of therapy... but then my insurance got taken away because of problems with my regular doc (my psych like... disappeared...) and my mother (never sent in the really ambivalent letter from my primary doc) so I am not taking my medicine or taking it sparingly sinc ebecause I don't have a job and I don't have insurance I can't afford it.

My mother thinks (at the best of times) that I use my sickness for attention or to be lazy... most times she thinks i am just faking...

I kind of don't know what to do. I can see how my doc might have thought I was better because the medicine helped a lot... but losing my insurance is going to be WAY counterproductive and I am already having panic attacks again... and its like hell. I cry all the time and am panicky all the time. I have no friends an my family doesn't think I'm sick. I feel so trapped and lost and my answers are always "get a job! then you'll have insurance!" Its so impossible to do... I'm so scared. :(

I don't know what to do. I can't go to therapy or take my meds... and its getting worse and worse. I don't want it to be like it was where I couldn't leave the house. Even when I felt a bit better I wouldn't do most of the things I could do.

No money and no insurance... how will I get well?! :( :(

Hello and welcome to HealingWell.  I am Kitt. I am so sorry you are out of a job and no insurance.  Do you qualify for any state medical assistance.  I am not sure where you are from.

I know there are members here that  have found aid and hopefully one will be along with some good ideas for you. Also there are many of the older AD's that work well and they are much less expensive, you may want to talk with your PCP about trying an old drug.  I did great for 24 years on Nortriptyline.

There are still many people that do not understand mental health disorders and I am sorry your family is reacting this way. Keep positng here and your will find the members warm and caring.

Take care of you and gentle hugs.
