My lost cat is home tonight - hurray!
She has been trapped for the last 4 weeks in a house right across the street that's been vacant and for sale for over a year now.  I think she must have gone in out of curiosity when the agent or caretaker was around one day and then unknowingly locked in.  Tonight, the young fellow mowing their yard called us, having seen the lost cat sign, and when my boyfriend went over to check, the guy had her out sitting on the porch with him.
She's very thin but hydrated - probably drank from the toilet.  She still has enough energy to jump to the top of the breakfast bar and is very happy to be home.  We're going to the vet first thing in the morning (I called his emergency number right away) to get her checked out.
Thank you all so much for your concern and good thoughts and prayers.  They worked wonders!
Love and gratitude,

Oh my gosh, I'm cyberally jumping up and down with joy and happiness for you.  You must feel overwhelmingly relieved and happy.  Our prayers were answered.  Give the kitty some extra food and I'm sure it is getting lots of loving.

Percy yeah yeah yeah I am so very very very happy that your kittie is back home and safe.  My cat Tilda did a very similar thing, she got locked in a garage for two days.  I was walking around, making meow noises and calling her name and BAM! She replied.  I sat outside in the cold for four hours until the garage person came homa and let my Tilda out.
So glad for you..give kittie a hug from meg x

Whoo Hoo and whoopie. I am so happy for you. I am sure you are very happy.

I just knew that kitty would come home and I bet if she could talk she would have a story to tell you.

That is wonderful news. I know our animals are a part of our family and we would be lost without them. I am so glad your cat is home safe and sound now.

Just saw your post and am so very very happy for you, I knew she would come home and that she was probably 'stuck' in somewhere. Feel very very happy for you and I am sure you shed a few tears of joy when you saw her.

OMG---that is great news!  Poor kitty---but, good thing the toilet seat was left "UP" so he could get some water!
