Has anyone has a QEEG done?  When I go in for my first Biofeedback session today, they are supposed to do this brain mapping on me.  I'm kinda excited about it but am wondering if anyone else has had it done and what they thought about it.  According to what I read about it, it:
"is a procedure that records electrical activity within the brain.  This tool gives us the abililty to view the dynamic changes taking place throughout the brain during processing tasks and assist in determining which areas of the brain are fully engaged and processing efficiently."
So if I understand this right, if I am OCD, the OCD parts of my brain should show something abnormal to them on this test.  Same with depression or any other problem.  That's my take on it, anyway.

I do not know but I am very interested in learning how it works.  I do know biofeedback has been used for years for people with chronic pain.

Keep us posted and we wish you tons of luck.

As i mentioned in an earlier post ,i have have done biofeedback twice ,two years ago ,and two years before that ,I would like to do it again ,you are hooked up on a machine while therapist talks to you about the things that are going on in your life ,the therapist monitors the screen as your heart rate and concentration goes up and down ,Then you will be left alone on the machine ,you will then be in control of bringing down your heart rate and your stress level ,yor thoughts will control that ,ai had ihr sessions 3 days a week for 8weeks ,you will get all the stuff inside you that you want to get out , and you will get very relaxed ,i;m not sure but the brain thing you talkabout may be the be the patches they put on you for different problems you may have , my first time i had ibs ,the second time headaches,i have gad and have a lot of stress ,biofeed back will heip you a lot , my first time with biofeed back was over 20 yrs ago . when i was seeing a psycologist , i do not see one now , i only found out through an article about biofeed back , that was a rehab hospital that did ,i had to get a refferal from my dr .you seem alittle concerned about it so thought i would ease your anxiety about it ,i wish i could go every week and unload and relax ,hope this helps you ,you will be glad you did it . sorry about all the mistakes i can spell ,but do not type ,i also dont like writing letters, but this is something i could help you understand, relax and enjoy

Thanks for the info. I'm encouraged by the Biofeedback. It's new to me so unless it proves to not work, I'm excited about it.
