Ok so i just moved into this unit, its been a month.
the lady next door has decided to tell me that a lady who lived there 4 yrs ago died in one of the bedrooms apparently suicide. Thers been several ppl in and out of there shes also told me the lady who died haunts the place if she doesnt like who lives there and that a few kids who have lived there has seen her ghost at night on there bed. I really didnt need to hear this, me and my son finally found a place we were happy with and settling in, my son is only 2 and i was so relieved that the stress of looking for a place was finally over. i never wanted to move again for a long while i wanted my son to grow up there as i hate moving and its too much with a 2yr old. I dunno what to do anymore, i havent slept in 4 nights and im in the middle of court battles with the abusive ex, im a single mum and i dont have time to deal with it all. im so freakin angry about this.

I went to the real estate and apparently she did die but it was at the hospital i dunno what to believe however the damage is done, i cant look at my home the same anymore and feel safe, i hate it bcoz i really like the place, i dunno where i can find another place as nice as that for that price. My next door neighbor is a drunk and everyone has issues with her. everyone else on the block (4) is really nice and saz ppl leave bcoz of her. I dont know what to do.. i have no time for this and my poor son has to keep re adjusting. it was the one thing that was going right finding that place and now its runied

the real estate agent has to be honest about it. If all else fails it should have been in the paper.

A drunk has motivations for being so. I hope you do not take what she said to heart, but obviously it is an issue for you.

The place is not ruined, how do you think people live in castles and such? You might pay homage to their memory in some way, by a candle, flower arrangement, etc.

If all else fails you can have a priest come bless the home.

Good Morning. Your home is what you make of it and I agree with Navy, make this your own home now.  Kick the thoughts of ghosts and hauntings to the curb.................

Take a good, hard look at this neighbor. Are you going to let her ruin your new home...............remember only you can make yourself happy.  Avoid this woman and don't let her gossip into your head.

open up the windows and let the sunshine into your new home.  You can do this.

The guy who lived in the house before died in my room. I have many happy memories in my parents house and have had some great times never had a bad experience with a ghost. When I first it did freak me out alittle but after 12 years its a jus a good story now. My parents are moving next week and its gonna be sad to say goodbye to the old place.

I share your fear of ghosts. I agree with Navy on this one. You can always have someone bless your home and then you can feel safe. I dont know if I really believe in ghosts or not. More like I believe in spirits. I wouldn't worry about all this. The lady that told you this is obviously not reliable if she's a drunk. She just wants to scare you. I would ignore her at all costs and if she really keeps up with the unessesary stuff you could talk to your landlord. Or you could just be nice but firm, tell her you're not going to put up with her crap. Let her know your under alot of stress already and dont need any more from her. I hope this helps some. I always find peace when I pray about stuff like that. And, even if there are ghosts and one is in your appartment, they cant hurt you. Just remember that. They are not alive, so you have power over them. not the other way around. Dont let this get to you. You have so much to deal with already. Just make you and your son a wonderful home and dont worry about the other stuff. Love to you!!!

I wasn't sure whether to respond to you or not because I want my story to alleviate anxiety, not cause it. I wanted to share that when I was in college I lived in an apartment that had a ghost. I went to a college that has been on the discovery channel ghost hunter shows. It was a catholic college that had a monk commit suicide on the top floor of one of the building classrooms are in. Many have seen that ghost (including my husband). My apartment however was near where the nuns were burried. This female ghost would occassionaly stroll through our apartment. All five of my roomies as well as the 5 that lived there the year before had seen her. The reason I share is that she was no problem what so ever and if anything a source of entertainment. For some particular reason she liked to move my stuff around. It became a joke whenever I couldn't find anything that the ghost had taken. So I was worried you would be more scared having someone tell you that ghosts do exist. But I am hoping that you would be assured that ghosts are almost always friendly. I never wanted to move because of the ghost. There are ghosts experts who say if you see the ghost and tell her to go away she will. Also, my friend built a house next to a very old cemetary and thought she had spirits visiting her. She cleaned up the cemetary to make friends with the ghosts and haven't seen them since.

So, make friends with your ghost. Welcome her. Tell her you are sorry she died an untimely death. Light a candle for her. Then tell her it is now your place and you would appreciate it if she either leave or never do anything to scare you.

I hope you choose to stay and make this your home!

I agree make friends with the possible ghost. Just cause someone died in a home does not mean they haunt it.  Light some candles or have the house blessed. or talk to her and let her know you are sorry she died and you love her home and hope to live there for a while.  Ask her to leave and maybe she will, if she is even there.... she may not be

I have seen ghosts myself and some people don't believe me but they never harmed me, it was as if they did not know I was there.

Ok so the situation now is, ive spoken with a lady who is a medium she lives around the corner from me and has offered to come over and see this spirit, she has spirits in her house and shes done this for others, she sees them and talks to them to find out why they are still here. i feel safe with this lady, i trust her she sounds very warm and nice. so hopefully she can do it today but untill iam completly satisfied iam sleeping at my parents place to catch up on my sleep! also im kicking the drunk out. the man upstairs said, if your leaving so am i. Shes been causing trouble for years and iam gonna make a change and break the cycle. so everyone on the block will have peace. i will make geniune effort to be ok with this and still live there. but iam so scared with things like this, i cant even watch horror movies and there not even real so this is a tuff one i have to say. i cant even hear ghost stories without not sleeping so having a ghost in my house is not great for me especially with my anxiety problem and i tend to over think absolutly everything i just dont want this sending me bonkers i dun wanna end up paranoid with every noise i hear thinking its the "spirit" i guess i have to be comfortable with the spirit but im on my own though, maybe its not good for my mental health to have this situation what do you think? i would like to overcome it though but i just dont know how. ive lived in a haunted house b4 and i lived in fear all those years i believe it started my anxiety rolling as a child i never felt safe. my parents never believed me although my dad heard noises. anyway ill keep you updated with what the lady says about this when she comes over!

You are being strong and proactive about both the negative neighbor and the possible ghost. Good for you - I'm proud of you! Let us know how it goes when you have a chance; I know you've got more important things coming up soon.
