Welcome to HeaingWell and the A & P forum. First of all congratulations on the baby that will soon be a blessing in your life.
I had 4 children and I had panic attacks as my labor was very long. Now days with the epidurals things are so much better if that is the way you choose to go. I would hope your blood pressure is being monitored closely by your Physician.
Talk to your physician about your fears and practice self talk for you, tell yourself you will be OK and believe it. You will be OK! It is the fear of the unknown that spooks most of us.
You will be so busy and focused (key word here is focused) on delivering the baby that anxiety will not cross your mind.
The reason you will handle it is because you will have no choice. This in and of itself is great news!

comfort. It is about
living." Dr. Howard Liebgold .
Again a warm welcome and keep on talking to us.

Honey... everything will go just fine... Congratulations on your baby girl.. she will be here soon. have you chosen a name for her yet.
As far as your blood pressure... like Kitt said... I hope you are being monitored closely by a physician. My blood pressure was really high during my pregnancies and everything turned out really well. Like kitt said... when its time for baby to come... you won't have time to panic..( I panicked often before they came) but while you are busy giving birth your mind will know that you are dealing with something important and vital and you will be great! From now till then... try listening to calm music or whatever music makes you feel good... get as much rest as you can... eat well... watch lots of funny movies... Now is the time to pamper yourself... and to talk to that sweet baby girl... she can hear you and will be reassured by your voice the minute she comes out as she will recognize it instantly. Believe me when I say that everything will be O.K. My health was terrible and my babies turned out healthy and happy.... Let us know how you are doing and come to us often if you become worried or fearful... the people here at HW are great at talking you through it and being there for you... God Bless sweet thing... I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I just wanted to welcome you to the site. I don't have any good advice or experience, but listening to soothing music and definitely talking to your baby sound like wonderful ideas to me!
