first they started the leap test my oldest daughter failed the math part every time but the school felt she had no problem, her senior year which is supposed to be fun was not, she didn't even hardly have her time of the month she was so stresses that she would not graduate, i ended up taking her credits to a place that give a real diploma if you have all your credits at a baptist school. now there talking about weighing kids at school, you know what there going to have a world of children with anxiety and eating disorders it makes me so mad. mad

Weighing kids at school is going to put peer pressure on the children that are overweight as it will bring out the fact that weight is about who you are when in reality it is not.

They may have good intentions but it is singling out the children who are in the right weight range from the child that is over weight or to thin.

I have concerns about this new practice.

I'm 26. We had to take the presidents physical fitness test which involved being weighed AND having a little fat pincher measure how much fat we had on our arms, waists, and thighs. I loved it because I was skinny and could run and do the push ups and sit ups and sit and reach and always get one of the "healthiest" scores in the class. My best friend was overweight and dreaded it because even though they wouldn't announce her fat score to the whole class she new she had an unhealthy bottom line number.
26 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.
