Hi Trying

Yes, I take Zyprexa, 5 mg or 10 mg (depending on what samples my pdoc has on hand).  I only take it every 10-14 days for anxiety.  I also take several other meds - antidepressants and mood stabilizers, on a daily basis.  When I was suffering so bad from extreme anxiety this spring, Zyprexa was the medication that finally zapped the anxiety.  Thus I take it now whenever I feel anxiety coming on and it still works to get rid of most of it.  Zyprexa does make one hungrier and often fatter.  When I first started taking it, I didn't care about that, I was in so much anxiety, I would have taken anything to get it to stop.  I don't have any other side effects - except maybe some sleepiness.  It's been a godsend to me.

Hi,

I am sorry I have no experience with that drug.  I am sure some other members will come along that do.

shakehead  Hi......was given Zyprexa a few wks ago to try for my panic and fear..took it for 3 days, very low dose, but got sooo dizzy and disoriented couldn;t function, so I called my dr and she said to stop taking it.  I got scared of it, although I am sooo glad it works for some people. That is about the only experience I have had with the drug.
