Are any of you hoarders?  I am - not to the point where my house is unhealthy but I do have piles and of books, magazines, clothes and miscellaneous all over the house.  Generally my husband is tolerant but sometimes he'll start going through things, straightening things out, and even tossing things.  This causes my anxiety to go through the roof.
Like Mazfire, I do keep dishes and laundry done.   I however do let the floors and bathrooms get dirty.
My hoarding results in most flat spaces, countertops, etc being covered up.
Once it took me 6 months to unpack suitcases from a trip.  I just sat them down by the door and left them there.
My hoarding tendencies have definitely gotten worse as I've aged - and had more disposable income.

I am the complete opposite!

I chase my boyfriend around picking things up and putting them away (I have been known to take dishes out of his hand to go clean & I always throw out all junk mail and free newspapers before he gets home so he can't bring them in the house - nutso!).

I have so few possesions for someone of my age..really it can fit in my car...kinda embarrasing!

Mind you I have mild OCD so that could mean something. I hate clutter..so I guess we anxiety peeps come in all shapes, sizes and patterns! lol

I think as long as you feel okay with how you live then go for it!! judge not..

My husband is a hoarder and so are his folks.  I throw out things when he is not around.  He still has the jacket he bout in 1970 hanging in the closet.............dust catchers we have.

GG, I seriously don't think unpacking your suitcase for 6 months is hoarding...............did you not need the things in the suitcase? devil

I go through my stuff at least once every 6 months and give what I don't need to the Epilepsy Foundation.

Old magazines I toss.  Books once read I donate to the library.  It is one way to get rid of the stuff.  I also don't buy stuff anymore.  I may have it in my hands and then I think.........why do I  need this?

Well that is me. smhair   smhair
