Hi Helpingme1

Hey there, yes I have had this flushed feeling and I can feel my face , neck and ears burning. I always have felt that is the adrenaline causing the problem.

If you are concerned please do contact your physician.

You are not alone.

Hi helpingme1,

Welcome to HW, I hope we can answer some questions for you.

An anxiety attack generally causes an intense rush of adrenaline in your central nervous system. This is called "fight or flight" mode and can cause a sudden rush of blood to your heart so you can literally "fight" or run away. It can also constrict your throat as all your blood is focused on the areas needed to run or fight and your digestion isn't one of them!!

The effects of a panic attack vary from person to person. Some effects may include:
• Sweating
• Feeling short of breath, like you can't get enough air
• Pounding heart
• Chest pains
• Feeling unsteady
• Feeling like you're choking
• Dry mouth
• Hot or cold flushes
• Tingling
• Feeling faint
• Trembling
• Nausea or diarrhea
• Feeling like you're losing control or you can't escape.

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been having attacks? There are quite a few methods of treatment available, and of course you can always chat with us! I would recommend seeing a doctor if you haven't yet. We are not health professionals..just a supportive community who share our experiences. again, welcome.

To be honest i usually fell those flushing feeling during a pannic attack, I get hot all over then cold, strange I know but that is what happens to me. Like you I have found myself on the floor after a really bad one, and it is getting harder and harder to hide all of this at work. I find myself taking more and more meds just to stay "normal" I am thinking of changing doctors because that is all she does for me ... "well they are getting worse, just take more meds" there has to be a better way. anybody have any suggestions, let me know here or feel free to email me. Thanks
